“We wanted the wedding to be outdoors, and the venue’s courtyard area and surrounding gardens were a perfect fit with all of the spring wildflowers in bloom,” Jess says. Dan’s cousin, the officiant, recited the story of the couple’s history and included their thanks and words of love to the guests as Jess and Dan faced them, making for an emotional and intimate ceremony.

“Once we saw Escondido we knew it was perfect,” Katie says. “It’s a beautiful mix of Texas Hill Country and Italy.”

Katie and Matthew tied the knot in a small ceremony in front of 50 of their closest friends and family. “I have been a bridesmaid nearly 15 times, so we chose to forgo the traditional wedding party,” Katie says. “We just wanted just the two of us sitting, surrounded by our nearest and dearest.”

This gorgeous, unique styled shoot from Brittany Jean Photography and Eclipse Event Co. is all about planning a wedding that reflects who you are, not what you think your guests want to see, whether that's choosing a dress that shows off your tattoos or rocking a mohawk! The models for the shoot, Rachel and Michael, are so beautifully confident and fun, too. The rock princess bride carried a bouquet with chains and wore bold yet feminine gemstone and hammered metal statement jewelry, while the groom looked sharp in his tailored suit! 800 Congress, a new Austin venue, was a great backdrop for the shoot for several reasons: it's a wonderful blank canvas and industrial space with cool lines and exposed brick that helped achieve the “beauty in imperfections” look, and it also features a graffiti wall with a mural of downtown Austin!

On just their second date, Jake dropped the news he’d gotten a job offer in Boston, but the move wouldn’t happen for another year and a half. By the time Jake headed for the East Coast, Landen was accepted into Harvard Business School. On September 30, 2017, the couple tied the knot at Holy Trinity Catholic Church and partied the night away at the Belo Mansion—their first dance to “The One” by Kodaline was an ode to the first concert they attended together.

The couple rented out the Inn Above Onion Creek for their guests to stay and enjoy the weekend, giving family + friends a chance to experience a true taste of Texas!
