Marquee Event Rentals is proud to have been selected by Hazeltine and the PGA as the event rental partner for this high-profile event. In just four months, Marquee created a Ryder Cup “city” including 11 separate, tented villages and a 50,000 square foot Ryder Cup Shop.

About Ryder Cup

The Ryder Cup is one of golf’s most prestigious events. Ryder Cup is one of the few professional golfing events played simply for bragging rights, not prize money. Taking part in Ryder Cup is a great honor for both the players and the club selected to host the biennial event.

Hazeltine swirled with red white and blue linens and other decor as the United States took home the cup for the first time since 2008. Hazeltine’s Ryder Cup event was a huge success for everyone involved.

Golf Tournament Event Planning & Equipment by Marquee

During the six-day event, more than 50,000 spectators, golfers, vendors, and members of the international media visited Hazeltine National each day. Marquee brought in more than 600,000 square feet of tenting from five different manufacturers including:

  • A Roder double-decker tent
  • A Jet tent
  • A Losberger Structure for the Ryder Cup Store
  • Multiple 40m and 30m buildings
  • 81 Curved/Arcum-style chalets 
  • 125 x 15’ x 15’ bus stop tents

In addition to tent rentals, the massive event also required:

  • 1.1 million square feet of wooden and scaffold flooring
  • 700,000 square feet of carpet
  • 10,000 chairs 
  • 1,500 tables
  • 700,000 wood screws
  • 250 lighted exit signs
  • 10,000 stakes
  • 50,000 linear feet of steel cable
