Looking for a great place to enjoy MLB season? You’ll love these event locales in seven of our favorite cities. From Illinois to Texas, our event rental specialists have compiled some great spots to check out. Surround yourself with like-minded baseball fans, relax, eat, and drink.
If you’re a baseball fan, you know the rush of the beginning of MLB season. You’ve waited through the miserable winter to cheer on your favorite team in spring and summer. If you’ve muttered the oft-repeated phrase, “there’s always next year,” you may be even more anxious for your team to turn it around in the new year.
If you’re looking for a great place to watch the game, here are our top suggestions for celebrating MLB opening day in Atlanta, Chicago, Kansas City, Milwaukee, Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio.
"You always get a special kick on opening day, no matter how many you go through. You look forward to it like a birthday party when you're a kid."
Atlanta Braves - Playing in Philadelphia
Fans who want to support the Braves on opening day in person must travel to Philadelphia for their game against The Phillies. Or, visit Braves Grill and enjoy 8,000 square feet of
Braves memorabilia and test your arm in their authentic pitching cage.

Chicago Cubs and White Sox Start on the Road
Both Chicago teams start the season with away games. The Cubs play in Texas against the Rangers, and the Sox take on the Royals in Kansas City. With the closing of Schaller’s Pump, Sox fans looking for an old-school Sox hangout can try Bernice’s Tavern, or be close to the action at Guaranteed Rate Field at Shinnicks. Visit the Chicago White Sox website to view their full schedule. Cubs fans are sure to gather at The Cubby Bear and the iconic Sluggers World Class Sports Bar. In addition to a great viewing experience, this Lakeview bar has batting cages.

The Kansas City Royals Play at Home on MLB Opening Day
The Royals take on the Chicago White Sox on opening day 2019. If you can’t make it to the game, The Peanut (five locations) is popular with baseball fans on Yelp, and Brewbakers (two locations) offers drink specials during Royals’ games. Marquee Event Rentals is proud to supply rentals for Royals Charities' annual fundraising gala Diamond of Dreams in addition to other Kansas City Royals' charity events for the past 16 years. Milwaukee Brewers Host the St. Louis Cardinals
Cardinals fans will have to hold their horses until April 4th, because they’re playing the Brewers in Milwaukee on opening day 2019. Cheer them on from The 4th Base while surrounded by baseball memorabilia. If you’re lucky enough to gave tickets, pre-game at Who’s On Third then catch their free shuttle to Miller Park.

MLB Opening Day in Texas: Houston Astros and Texas Rangers
The Texas Rangers welcome the Chicago Cubs for opening day 2019, but the Astros will be on the road playing Tampa Bay. View the Astros’ schedule online, or check out the Rangers’ schedule.
In Dallas, fans who can’t attend opening day in person can follow the action from a booth with built-in speakers at The Franchise Grill and Bar in Plano. The Labb in Denton frequently offers dollar specials to MLB fans on game day, and Press Box (downtown) has $3 beer specials and welcomes out of town fans.
Baseball fans in Austin and San Antonio can cheer on their favorite team at one of the many, many sports bars in their respective cities. In Austin, watch the big game on a big screen at Mister Tramps, or enjoy a game day beer bucket special at one of LaVaca’s three locations.
Ticket Sports Pub in San Antonio is repeatedly honored as the best sports bar in town. Or, book a room at the JW Marriott out in Hill Country and enjoy an adult beverage while watching the game on a 120-foot high-def video wall at their High Velocity Sports Bar. For a more upscale sports bar experience in Austin or San Antonio, check out Cover 3. Little Woodrow’s has five locations in Austin, two in San Antonio, plus eight in Houston.
