Due to drastic weather cycles in the Midwest Restaurants and Bars loose outdoor seating revenue. Paradise Park has 65% of its seating capacity outdoors. The owner contacted Marquee with a request to cover his entire outdoor seating with a heated Clear Roof Tent Structure in order to maintain summer revenue and his employee staff.

Due to drastic weather cycles in the Midwest bars and restaurant’s loose outdoor seating revenue. Paradise Park has 65% of its seating capacity outdoors. Our customer contacted Marquee Event Rentals with a request to cover his entire outdoor seating with a heated Tent Structure in order to maintain present revenue and employee staff on board. The patio area was full of heavy permanent décor to simulate an outdoor park. These décor features and obstacle’s created extreme challenges to use existing Tent products available in our industry today. The Marquee team was tasked with designing a Custom Tent Structure which would attach to the existing building. This eliminated the option of any Tent legs typically used to support the structure due to room constraints. Our major obstacle was how to physically measure the site in distance and elevation’s in order to engineer and design a frame that would meet exact dimensions required. This challenge allowed zero tolerance for mistakes as we were asked to engineer, manufacture, and install in 4 weeks. Due to the issues surrounding accurate measurements, Marquee used a professional survey company to provide dimensions. The tight time line to build required drawings for structural engineers to review prior to production. After manufacturing, the installation required pre-assembly of the frame components before transporting to the job site. Once on site a street closure was ordered to allow a crane to erect the frame. We had 2 days to erect the project as the initial request was to allow the customer to capitalize on the Holiday business. Our customer is now in a position to maximize the space of his restaurant and capitalize on the additional revenue which allows him to continue with positive cash flow year round.
